Mate- sctlan of the diaphragm is 75% of valume change, extemal interonatala =25% eupnea (UP ne uh) - quiet breathing hyperpnea (hi perp NE wh) - forced breathing apnea (AP ne uh) - absence of breathing mnea = respiration II. Respiratory wolumes and capacities Respiratory Rate - 12-18 breathes per minute adult at rest ( 1 per every 4 heart beats) 18−20 children Respiratory Minute Volume (RMV) = volume of air moved each minute RMV = rate (breaths / minute) X tidal volume (ml) Tidal Volume (TV) =500ml Inspiratory Reserve volume (IRV)=3,300ml Expiratory Reserve volume (ERV)=1,000ml Vital Capacity (VC)=3,100(w)/4800( m) VC=TV+IRV+ERV Residual Volume (RV)=1,200ml TLC=VC+RV Total Lung Capacity ( TLC )=6,000ml Calculate Respiratory Minute Volume (RMV): Write the equation here: Fill in the missing values: Write the equations here:
