The Sun appears about twice as large as Phobos in the Martiansky (shown above in a solar eclipse image from Mars). It takesPhobos approximately 300 of its radii to transit the shadow of Marsduring a lunar eclipse. Using these values, a radius for Mars of3,000,000 m, the ratio calculated in problem 9, calculate theradius of Phobos to one significant digitin meters. Draw the diagram of Sun, Mars, and Phobos, label thequantities, and solve using mathematical symbols for the radius ofPhobos (call it RPh).
