A battery of emf 12.0 V and internal resistance 0.50Ω is connected in series to a 10.0Ω resistor and an unknown resistor R. The pd across R is 6.0 V. Calculate: a the current through the circuit b the pd across the 10.0Ω resistor c the lost volts.
