A 12 m ladder of 70 kg is in equilibrium leaning against a frictionless wall. A 100 kg painter stands exactly at the center of the ladder The coefficient of static friction between the floor and the ladder is μ3=0.35. a) Draw a schematic with vectors showing all the forces acting on the ladder. b) Calculate the vertical force of the floor on the ladder (Normal Force) c) Calculate the horizontal force of friction between the floor and the ladder. d) Determine the horizontal force of the wall on the top of the ladder. e) Write an equation for rotational equilibrium of the ladder (assume the pivot point is where the ladder meets the floor). f) Determine the minimum angle ( θ) between the ladder and the floor for which the bottom of ladder does not slide.
