The table below is based on results described in a study (By D. Snipes and E. Benotsch, Addictive Behaviors, vol. 38 (2013), pp. 1418-1423) that examined the effects of alcohol consumption and drug use on sexual behavior, for undergraduate students at a university in the southeastern United States. In this table, the columns refer to whether the student engaged in unprotected sex in the past three months, and the rows refer to whether the student reported drinking alcohol mixed with energy drinks (AmED). (a) Construct conditional distributions that treat unprotected sex as the response variable. Interpret. (b) Test whether the variables are statistically independent. Report the P-value, and interpret.
