A/C does not just mean air conditioning. It can also mean the Alternating Current, which is the electricity that we use to power our houses and buildings. This current (denoted by the letter i) can be modeled as a cosine that varies with time. The frequency is 60 cycles per second. Assume that at time t=0 seconds, the current is at its maximum of 5 amperes. 1) Can you write the equation that describes how the current varies with time? 2) Show the plot of the equation. Make sure you include the amplitude, maximums. minimums, where it crosses the x and y axes, etc. Don't forget to label the x and y axes. What are the units? 3) Consider the time t=0.01 seconds. What current value would you expect?
