I am designing an independent project measuring the effects ofmanganese overload on cells. I am basing most of my procedure offof one paper which ran this same experiment in a different type ofcells. In the experiment, they used 54Mn and measured the amount ofMn they used in Ci instead of in grams or M. I am not going to beusing radioactive Mn so I want to try to convert Ci to grams orsome other measurement that applies to nonradioactive Mn. Is therea way to convert 0.5 Ci 54Mn to grams or M? Essentially, is there away to go from measuring 54Mn by radiation to measuring it byamount so that I can find the amount of nonradioactive Mn I shoulduse to match what they used?
