A workshop technician used an Ingersoll Rand impact wrench to tighten and loosen tyre nut for an accumulation of 15+R minutes per day. The hand arm vibration level meter indicates values of ax=3+Sm/s2,ay=6+T m/s2 and az=3+U m/s2. Normal working hours for the technician are 8 hours per day. Note: The values of R,S,T and U depend on the respective 3rd ,4th ,5th and 6th digits of your matric number as the standard format AD 20RSTU. For example, if your matric number is AD201414, it gives the value of R=1,S=4,T=1 and U=4. (i) Calculate the vibration total value, ahv and technician daily vibration exposure, A(8). (5 marks) (ii) Compare the technician daily vibration exposure with vibration A(8) limit values and give a recommendation. (2 marks)
