(c) An employee is exposed to the following levels of noise during his working day:
Note: The values of P,Q,R, and S, depend on the respective, 3rd ,4th ,5th , and 6th digit of your matric number as in the following number format: AD×xPQRS. For example, if your matric number is AD170154, it gives the value P=0,Q=1,R= 5 , and S=4, thus the duration of sawing activity is 0 hours with SPL is 90 dB( A), grinding activity is 1 hours with 91 dB( A), drilling activity is 14 minutes with 95 dB(A), and turning activity is 4 hours with 94 dB( A). (i) Calculate the total sound pressure level, SPL (ii) Determine his equivalent continuous noise level, Leq (iii) Justify and provide comments whether your answer in Q2 c(ii) complies with daily dose exposure (D% ) from the DOSH Standard. Use Table Q2 as a reference.
