a) A large spherical vessel, 2.0 m in diameter, is filled with 12.0 kg of benzene (C6H6) at 400∘C. Assuming that C6H6 behaves like an ideal gas at the conditions in this question, calculate: (i) The number of moles of C6H6 in the vessel. (ii) The pressure in the vessel. (iii) The most probable velocity of C6H6 molecules. b) The vessel filled with C6H6 in Part (a) is connected to a source of pure nitrogen gas, and enough nitrogen gas is added until the vessel pressure is tripled. Also, the temperature is increased by 100∘C. Assuming that the mixture behaves as an ideal gas mixture, calculate: (i) The total number of moles in the vessel. (ii) The average molar mass of the gas mixture. (iii) The mass of the nitrogen added. (iv) The mass fraction of nitrogen in the gas mixture. (v) The density of the gas mixture.
