(a) A design engineer required to carry out finite element analysis for wheelbarrow frame using a commercial software. The wheelbarrow consists of four important components including frame, bucket, leg support and tire as shown in Figure 2.1. The wheelbarrow has 80 kg maximum load capacity of the bucket and assume distributed uniformly on the bucket base of 60 mm x 45 mm (length x width). List at least four preliminary decisions that the engineer needs to decide prior to start the finite element model. (b) Briefly describe four input parameters need to be defined during the pre-processing stage.
