1. A lever has a belt pulley at its end with belt forces which have " α " angle with respect to " y " axis as shown on the below figure. a) Find state of stress at the most critical point at the circular beam (indicate stress states by using stress elements). b) Find principal stresses at this most critical cross section. c) The round bar is made up of C 60 (EN 10083) steel in quenched and tempered condition. Based on yield strength of the material, find the factor of safety. Based on static loading calculate factor of safety for the most critical point by using; - Maximum-Normal-Stress Theory - Maximum-Shear-Stress-Theory - Maximum-Normal-Strain Theory - Distortion-Energy Theory Select some parameters by yourself using the below table.
