You decide to apply your vast array of planar dynamics knowledgeto help you become a better pool player. To test this knowledge,you attempt to hit the 1-ball towards the pocket at A by strikingit with the white cue ball. Find the angle theta required to sinkthe 1-ball into the pocket at A. Also, find the speed of the 1-ballafter the impact assuming the cue ball had an initial speed of2m/s. Assume e=0.95 between the cue ball and the 1-ball. Alsoassume equal masses for both balls and equal radii (0.04m). Neglectfriction. Hint: Theta is not just the atan of the distance valuesgiven.
