Figure Q5(b) shows a half wave rectifier type AC voltmeter. Diode D1 and D2 have an average forward resistance or  ∪Ω and are assumed to have an infinite resistance in the reverse direction. The internal resistance of d'Arsonval meter movement is ∠U0Ω and full scale deflection is produced by a DC current of 200μA. Calculate the multiplier resistor Rs required to obtain full scale deflecuon with an AC voltage of 20 Vms. Figure Q3(b) : Half-wave rectifier with a shunt resistor.
Figure Q3(b) shows a half wave rectıtier type AC voltmetet. Diode D1 and D2 have an average forward resistance of 50Ω and are assumed to nave an infinite resistance in the reverse direction. The internal resistance of d'Arsonval meter movement is 200Ω and full scale deflection is produced by a DC current of 200μA. Calculate the multiplier resistor Rs required to obtain full scale deflection with an AC voltage of 20 Vms. Figure Q3(b) : Half-wave rectifier with a shunt resistor.
