When a user has created a new directory under his home directory and has removed the read permission from the new directory, the user can not use the 1 s command to list all the file names stored under this new directory. the user is not allowed to remove this directory. the user can not use the find command to pass through the new directory in searching for any file stored under the new directory. the user is prevented from changing from the current working directory to this new directory to create new files under it. the user can not use the chmod command to change the permissions of this new directory.
