Question 3 The BCG Matrix is a widely used and well-understood portfolio planning approach for corporate strategic analysis. An analysis of the product lines for Samsung a consultant using this approach generated the following results: the Samsung home appliances, such as refrigerators, washing machines, etc. were categrorized as 'Cash Cows'; the Samsung mobile phone, tab and TV businesss as "Stars'; Samsung smartwatch as 'Question marks”; and Sainsung printer as 'Dogs'.
