Cantilever Beam III – A 1 m long cantilever beam is subject
to a triangular distribute load. The beam has a rectangular
cross-section of 3 x 5 cm. Calculate the max. distributed load that
can be applied to the beam by plotting the normal stress as a
function of the distributed load and compare the results for three
different materials: Aluminum (𝜎𝑦 = 95 MPa), Titanium (𝜎𝑦 = 240
MPa), and CFRP (𝜎𝑦 = 840 MPa).
If you could show this done in MATLAB as well that would be
appreciated!
