1. A line of charge with uniform density 2. [C/m] extends between y=-L and y=L along the y-axis. (1) Apply Coulomb's law to obtain an expression for the electric field (Ē) at any point P(0, 0, z) on the y-z plane. (2) Find the electric potential (V) at the point P(0, 0, z) by Coulomb's law and find the electric field (Ē) at the point P(0, 0, 2) using Ē =-W and compare it with the electric field (Ē) of (1). (hintſ dx = In(x+vx* + a) (3) Show that if the length L extends infinitely, the electric field obtained in (1) will be equal to the electric field derived from Gauss's law.
