Figure 3 shows an example of the plan view of a natural river. Before any computations are performed, a cross sectional survey along the river is required. For this example, the cross-sectional survey is made for 10 sections at different intervals. The corresponding data of the survey are indicated in Table 1. The computations are performed using the Computation Table of la to lj as described in the following pages.
