Given structure is composed of axially rigid frame members with
flexural rigidity EI and two truss members (EF and EG) with axial
rigidity EA. Take EA = 5EI in magnitude and answer the following
questions:
a) Analyze the structure using slope deflection method and
determine all the support reactions and truss member forces.
b) Plot the axial force, shear force and bending moment diagrams
along ABECD only. Calculate all critical points on the diagrams.
Show the local axes and sign convention for the plots.
