A H steel pile is driven into sand as shown in the figure. The dimensions of the pile section, including the soil plug, are 308 mm by 310 mm. Other required soil parameters are also shown in the figure. S (a) Calculate the ultimate point load (Qp) using the bearing capacity factors from: (i) Meyerhof s Method' and (ii) Berezantzev's Method.
