MTHS110 - Quantitative Skills with Applications Assignment 6 Due: 11:59 pm, Thursday the 2nd of September, 2021 Question 1. (3 marks) Mytikas is the highest peak of Mount Olympus in Greece. At an unknown distance along the ground from this peak, the angle of elevation to the peak is approximately 16.26º. Exactly 2000 metres closer to the peak, again at ground level, the angle of elevation to the peak increases to approximately 20.03º. Using only the trigonometry of right angle triangles and the given information, determine the height of Mytikas above ground level. At what distance from the peak would the second reported angle of elevation have been measured? You may assume that the ground is horizontal for the purpose of solving both parts of this problem.
