Imagine a science fiction scene similar to that in 2001: A Space Odyssey, in which a rectangular monolith of dimensions 1.00 m×4.00 m ×9.00 m is in orbit around Jupiter. Assume Jupiter's magnetic field at the location of the monolith may be treated as a uniform field of 1.0T perpendicular to the large face of the monolith. Suppose the monolith suddenly breaks in half along a diagonal, forming two triangular wedge-shaped pieces, so each piece has a triangular cross section in which the 1.00 m and 9.00 m sides form the perpendicular sides of a right triangle, with the broken face forming the hypotenuse. The wedge is therefore 4.00 m long in the direction perpendicular to the triangular face. What is the magnetic flux through the sloping face (the face bounded by the hypotenuse and the 4.00 m side) of one of the wedges? Wb
