Consider using the material in the above problem to build a straight cooling fin of circular cross section. The fin is insulated enough on its curved surface so that heat can flow only in axial direction. The diameter of the fin is measured as 3±0.1 mm. The length is measured as 10 ± 0.1 mm. One end of the fin is attached to a CPU that is running at 65°C. The other end is attached to a point on a heat pipe that is maintained at 30°C.
