A Very Sore Throat K.W, 9y/o, developed sudden onset of fever with sore throat, headache, malaise. When examined, her pharynx is red with enlarged tonsils with pus on the surface and in the crypts. Her cervical nodes are also enlarged. Her throat was swabbed and positive for Group A strep. She was prescribed a course of antibiotic in order to prevent complications.
