EXERCISE 6 SIVAPITHECUS Work in a small group or alone to complete this exercise. Use the fossil description here and any supplemental material provided by your in- structor (or the photos in the Lab 13 Exercise Image Library on p. 396) to answer the questions that follow. Sivapithecus lived in Asia from about 12 to 8 mya. It had a 2.1.2.3 dental formula and adaptations for chewing hard food such as seeds and nuts.
