(b) Two moles of Argen (ideal gas) at 300K and 10 atm are expanded isothermally against a constant external pressure of 5 atm until the final pressure reaches a value of 7 atm. At this point, the external pressure is reduced to zero and the gas expanded into vacuum until a final state of 1 atm is reached. The gas then compressed isobaric and further compressed adiabatically to initial state. Calculate ΔU,ΔH,q and w for the process. [25 Marls]
