Please help me to determine the solution
a) Figure 3 below shows flow of water between 2 reservoirs with difference in water level of 50 m. Pipe 1 diameter = 30 cm Pipe 2 diameter = 60 cm THL Length of Pipe 1 = 1 km Length of Pipe 2 = 1 km Stand- pipe Friction factor is 0.04 for both pipes HGL Pipe 1 Figure 3 Pipe 2 i) Calculate the discharge from reservoir A to reservoir B. Take all losses into account. ii) How much is the discharge when minor losses are ignored? (6 + 4 = 10 marks)
