A simply supported beam 300 mm wide, 500 mm deep and spans 5.8 msupports a service super imposed dead load of 6 kN/m and servicelive load of 9 kN/m. Concrete strengthf’c = 21 MPa and steel yield strengthfy = 415 MPa. Concrete cover to barcentroid is 70 mm. Determine the required amountof tensile reinforcement in mm^2 as per provisions of NSCP2015. Write your final answer to the nearest wholenumber.
