APV panel is composed of two separate modules, as indicated in the figure below. The panel is cooled by forced convection due to the wind and heated by a constant solar flux. Which of the two modules do you expect to be hotter? Hand =20 mph T₁ -20°C L=0.5 m -500 W/m² !!!! L=0.5 m The left one because the boundary layer is thinner close to the leading edge The right one because of the flow will transition to turbulent closer to the trailing edge They will be at the same temperature because there is a constant heat flux applied to them It is not possible to know without further information
If the Prandtl number of a fluid is much less than one, O Momentum is transferred more efficiently than heat. O Momentum and heat are transferred almost at the same rate. Momentum is transferred less efficiently than heat. O It is likely that this is a heavy/viscous oil.
For a constant flow rate in internal flow, decreasing the diameter of a pipe generates the following effects: The heat transfer coefficient increases and the pressure drop increases. O The heat transfer coefficient decreases and the pressure drop increases. O The heat transfer coefficient increases and the pressure drop decreases. O The heat transfer coefficient decreases and the pressure drop decreases.
