Consider the following beam: P₁ 175 2.5 m 215mm Wide Beam 2.5 m 2.5 m The beam is D.Fir-L 20f-E glulam. The loads at each point are: • Dead Load: 80 kN • Live Load: 50 kN P₁ 2.5 m The point loads are the only points of lateral restraint along the beam's top side. a) Determine the minimum acceptable depth of the beam.
