Determine the following: - (a) The primary consolidation settlement on the clay caused by the addition of permanent load (App). (b) The times required for 50% and 90% of primary settlement under this additional permanent load (Ap.). (c) The magnitude of the temporary surcharge (Apr) that will be required to eliminate the entire primary consolidation settlement in 14 months by the preloading techniques.
