PLEASE SOLVE THE FOLLOWING PHYSICAL EXAMPLE #10 A water tube boiler is made of DN 500 schedule XS pipe (NPS20) conforming to SA 285B. A DN 200 schedule. Shell at a location where the pipe shell meets nominal pipe wall thickness requirement. The maximum allowable working pressure (MAWP) is 5.200 kPa @ 200C. The corrosion allowance is 2.0mm and correction factor (f) is 0.9 a) calculate the size of the opening required to be reinforced. b) calculate the total amount of reinforcement required.
