The sequences of the immunoglobulin heavy chains genes isolated from two hybridomas created by the immunization of a single mouse are identical from amino acid 1 to amino acid 110. From amino acid 111 to amino acid 450, they differ by about 25%. Do you conclude that you are seeing antibodies of different idiotype or isotype? Why?
