Calculate the factor of safety for the below embankment when the
ground water level is at the top of the clay layer.
Clay layer has c' = 80kPa, ø’ = 7, and bulk unit weight =
20kN/m^3
Granular layer has c' = 7.2kPa, ø’ = 30, and bulk unit
weight = 25kN/m^3
