Why do these antibiotics lack inhibitory activity against eukaryotic cells such as fungi (HINT: Look at the target of action of these antibiotics)? The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) is another antibiotic sensitivity test in which the minimum amount of a drug is required to inhibit the growth of the microbe being tested.
