It slides down (with static/kinetic friction coefficients μs, μ) and across a smooth floor where it collides and sticks with another box (mass M), which is attached to a spring (constant k). Assuming the collision happens instantaneously at time t = 0, write an equation describing the position of the two boxes as a function of time after the collision. Take the coordinate system as pictured (x = 0 at the collision point).
