system is to be installed along the perimeters of concrete floor on the 17th level to ensure the safety of personnel. OSHA regulations require the handrail system to be at min. 42" tall and is capable of resisting 200 lbs point load or 50 plf (whichever is greater) at top of rail. The handrail post is spaced at 48" on-center and is supported by a pre-fabricated base plate with dimensions shown. The base plate is secured by (4) ½" diameter epoxy anchor bolts to the concrete slab. What is the tension force of each anchor bolt to resist the required OSHA loading?
