The Crossness system has 4 rotative beam engines capable offilling the reservoir at Crossness. If the reservoir was 120,000 m3and each pump could move 6 tons of water per stroke and each strokeis 5 seconds, how many of the beam engines need to run to fill thereservoir twice per day?
