Problem 4: (10 marks) The jet engine on a test stand in Figure above-right admits air at 20°C and atmospheric pressure at section 1, where A₁ = 0.5m² and V₁ = 250m/s. Liquid fuel is being added from the top. The fuel-to-air ratio is 1 : 30. The air leaves section 2 at atmospheric pressure and higher temperature, where V₂ = 900m/s and A₂ = 0.4m². Compute the horizontal test stand reaction R₂ needed to hold this engine fixed. Take density of air to be 1.204kg/m³.
