3. A petrol engine operates using the air standard Otto cycle. The engine has a compression ratio of 8. During the engine operation, in-cylinder temperature and pressure at the beginning of compression stroke is given as 95 kPa and 300K respectively. During the constant-volume heat-addition process, 750 kJ/kg of energy is supplied to the engine. Show the cycle on T-s and p-v diagrams and calculate (a) The pressure and temperature at the end of the heat addition process, (b) the net-work output, (c) the thermal efficiency and (d) the mean effective pressure for the cycle.
