GIVEN: A transfer station removes a product from a conveyor belt. If the product is detected as present and if the operator presses the push-button, the pick-up cylinder 1.0 extends. Upon the release of the push-button the cylinder 1.0 is to retract to the initial position. 1. Using a single-acting cylinder: a) Draw the circuit diagram (using FESTO FluidSIM notations) for the problem. b) Designate the valves and indicated the numbering system for the connection c) Describe the operation of your circuit. 2. Repeat 1. Instead: use double-acting cylinder. 3. Do simulations of your circuits in #'s 1 and 2.
