2) Draw schematic for Example 8.13. This is Transient analysis. This is RLC time with DP (double pole)switch.(Hint: need to use 2 separate switches(with 2 different signals to control their on/off states) implement the switch shown in this example) Use a pulse function, add set the delay for 1s for signals controlling the switches. Set the controlling voltages for switches such that switch is initially(T=0) in position b and stays in that position for 1 sec and then after 1sec it switches to position a and stays in that position a for 5s more and then switches back to position b.(notice initial condition of switch is different than the one shown in the book). Plot the controlling voltages and notice the controlling voltages need to be opposite of each other. Run the total transient time-10s. Adding delay helps to see circuit operation when switch in position b .Notice direction of currents and make adjustment so all the currents in resistors have positive sign. Use spice command to generate .tran for transient simulation. Use SW from the component list for switch. To change the On impedance of switch use.model SW SW(Ron=1m). The default is 1 ohm. Hint: Need to turn off the switch, you need a negative voltage. a1) plot the node voltages controlling switches to node a and b. (Vpulse2 (controls switch b) and Vpulse(controls switch a) 1. a) Plot v(voltage across capacitor) and IL(current through inductor) in different panes. 2. b) From simulation, what is initial value(switch position b) for v- 3. c) From simulation, what is initial value(switch position b) for IL= 4. d) Calculate, what is initial value(switch in position b, assume switch is in this position for long time) for v=_ Show the schematic and calculation for this section 5. e) Calculate, what is initial value(switch in position "b", assume switch is in this position for long time) for IL-____Show the schematic and calculation for t Page 1 on Next, you will be Comparing simulation and calculation values of the inductor 5 seconds after when the switch is moved from b to position a. 1. f) Simulation result IL (current through inductor) 5s after switch is turned to position a 2. g) Calculate result II (current through inductor) 5s after switch is turned to position a -_______ .For calculation, assumes switch has been in position a for a long time). Show the schematic and calculation for this section
