Ambient air at 30oC dry bulb temperature and 30% relativehumidity is heated to 120oC dry bulb temperature. The heated air isintroduced into a spray drier where it is used to dry a foodsample. The food sample enters the spray drier at a feed rate of 5kg/h, has an initial moisture content of 70% and leaves the spraydrier with a moisture content of 5% after drying. After the dryingprocess, air exits the spray drier at 60oC dry bulb temperature.
1. Estimate the dew point and wet bulbtemperature of the air after the dryingprocess.
2. Calculate the mass flow rate of airthrough the drier in kg dry air perminute (kg/min) correct to the nearest wholenumber.
