Exercise 22. Let R[x] be the set of all real polynomials in the variable x. As noted earlier, R[r] is a real vector space. Let V be the subspace of all polynomials of degree no more than four. Also as noted earlier, differentiation defines a linear transformation on R[x], and so, by restriction, a linear transformation T: V→V. Find the 5 x 5 real matrix associated with this linear transformation with respect to the basis 1, x, x², x³, x4.
