You are to participate in two role plays to demonstrate yourability to apply specific communication techniques to establish,build and maintain relationships based on respect and trust.
At the conclusion of role play A you are to prepare for ameeting with colleagues (role play B).
This includes:
Read each role play carefully.
Your Assessor will be observing you during these role plays.
Part B – A better process
After the meeting with Martha where the misunderstanding aboutMr O’Reilly was clarified, you feel that the workplace needs toimprove their process and procedure for keeping carers of clientsinformed, in the event they are unable to attend meetings.
This would be a better way to maintain the relationship with thefamilies of your clients as well as build trust and keepcommunication open between both sides.
You have arranged a meeting with three other staff members tobrainstorm ways in which you could improve the process and are keento hear ideas each person suggests.
Personalities of each person are different so you will need toensure you are facilitating the meeting effectively, in order toreach an agreeable outcome.
