Research Question: Dr. Brennan has just finished data collectionfor study investigating the factors that cause people to be more orless attached to a group. In this particular study, she askedfemale participants to read about a hypothetical sorority andthen rate how much they would like to be a part ofthis sorority. Dr. Brennan led participants to believethat the type of sorority was eitherexclusive (relatively difficult to become a member) or inclusive(relatively easy to become a member). She also led participants tobelieve that the personality traits ofthe sorority sisters are either kind or aloof. Participantsreported how much they wanted to join the sorority described byusing a 1 (Definitely do not want to join) to 7 (Definitely do wantto join) Likert scale
