Prof Loo and Taren recently invented a new feedback amplifier
which is
simple and robust. It is shown in Figure 4 below.
a.Determine the feedback topology of the amplifier shown in
Figure 4
above and explain your answer in detail.
b.Using DC analysis, derive all the node voltages and branch
currents. It
can be assumed that the collector current in M2 is 0.5mA.
c.Identify the feedback circuit network and state the value of
the
feedback factor, β.
d.Using small signal AC analysis, draw the open loop model and
hence
calculate the open loop gain (AOL) and closed loop gain
(ACL).
