6. A researcher working at a particular company wants to know if workers' health would benefit if they were given extra days' off. In this company, all workers undergo a standard physical exam twice a year and after each exam an overall health rating (higher scores mean better health) is automatically provided to the company. To conduct the study, the researcher selected 30 workers at random and assigned them to 2 groups of 15 participants. The workers in group 1 served as the control group and received no additional days off, however the workers in group 2 were given an extra 2 days off every month over the period between health exams. She found that the workers in group 1 had a mean health score improvement of 20 (S² = 840) and the workers in group 2 had a mean health score improvement of 28 (S²=910). From this data, write out and perform the 4 steps for a 2-sample independent means T-test and make your decision (Use the .05 level.).
