"Everyday Use" h.w. part 2 1) In the past, students have described Dee as "spoiled" or "selfish." But isn't there more to Dee's character? It's true that she insists on getting what she wants, but consider the kind of things she does want, the things she likes and doesn't like, or cares about and doesn't care about. What further statement can you make about Dee? 2) Long before the issue of the quilts ever comes up, there are small signs that Mama resents Dee. List as many as you can find. 3) Maggie and Dee value the quilts in different ways. And the difference shows how different their basic life values are. Explain thoroughly, using information from the story. I consider this a big, complex undertaking. You should have at least two paragraphs. 4) Of Mama, Dee, and Maggie, who does and who does not change their basic character. Explain your reasoning.
